SIMATIC Automation License Manager (ALM)

ALM - v4.0 + SP2

The license for Step 7 is located on a jump drive. When installing the jump drive, I see the file AX NF ZZ, with the .ekb file there yet ALM does not see it. I know the license is there as I can transfer it to other laptops, just not mine! I have tried using coworkers license on my laptop and it does not see theirs. I figured it to possibly be a software issue so i completely dumped S7 and ALM and reinstalled. Still, the ALM does not see a license on my jump drive to transfer.


Any suggestions as to why? Thanks for the help, btw, first time post! but surely not the last.

In worst case u need to reinstall whole computer. That happened once for us when upgrading. ALM did not see any licenses on our computer anymore, we needed to use other one to save those trough network.

First I recommend trying to reinstall all siemens stuff, if that does not solve it, then reinstall also OS.

I had spent atleast an hour bouncing around that Siemens site. Took quite awhile to delete the files out but the sun is shining. I had the same "cryptographic" error just start a few weeks ago but paid it no mind as everything seemed to be running smoothly. (Bows) Thanks!!
