Good Morning,

I have a few questions to ask with regard to the above.

I need to extend an existing Profinet IO Network that exists on a Siemens CP343 Module.

The system currently uses one rack of ET200S modules on a Im151-3PN. I need to add another Im151-3PN onto the network.

Do I use the current PNIO-SEND/RECV Blocks to extend the system in the software or do I use a new set of PNIO-SEND/RECV Blocks?

If I were to add a G120C Inverter onto the network using telegram 1how would I communicate with it on the CP344 Module.

Thanks

There should only be one call of PNIO_SEND and PNIO_RECV in OB1.

You should configure the IO addresses of the new IM151-3 to be right after the existing IM151-3.
If the existing IM151-3 uses bytes input 0-19, the new IM151-3 should use bytes 20-xx.

You then increase the number of bytes in the ANY pointer of the RECV pin on the PNIO_RECV block.
The data block that the RECV pin points to should also be expanded accordingly.

Same principle for the outputs and PNIO_SEND.

A G120C will function the same way as an IM151-3 with respect to the HW Config and PNIO_RECV and PNIO_SEND.

Thanks for the reply.

Am I correct in assuming that the IO area of the CP343 is different to the S7 300 PLC. I could have Q0.0 to Q9.7 set-up for IO in the 315CPU and also have Q0.0 to Q9.7 for the CP343.
