I'm new to PLCs and ladder logic. I'm trying to learn how to setup and control a PowerFlex 525 through a CompactLogix PLC.

Things were going well until tonight. While trying to figure out how to get fault codes, I must have changed something. In the past when I set the frequency, I used PowerFlex:O.FreqCommand. Now I have to use PowerFlex:O.Freq_PosSel01, PowerFlex:O.Freq_PosSel02, and/or PowerFlex:O.Freq_PosSel03.

Anyone know what I must have changed to have affected this?

Sounds like you've changed the VFD's mode from Velocity to Position within the drive's definition in the IO tree. Click on the VFD in your PLC's IO tree, click properties, then click "Device Definition." From there, on the "Connection Format" tab, make sure the drop-down selector for mode is set to "Velocity."

Hope this helps.

That was the issue. Thank you very much.
