I am looking to upgrade some of our old Servo Drives to the newer kinetix 5700 style.

currently we have 4 1394 axis that are all driven by 5kw invertors.

I was looking through the kinetix user manual and found a dual axis 5.5 kw invertor that I think would be suitable. Part #2198-D020-ERS3. Two of these drives combined with a regenerative power supply part#2198-RP088.

This will also need to be setup in the PLC program but we have 4 other drives that are already on the kinetix 5700 platform so i know it is compatable.

I also know I will need to get proper size fuses for the new drives and get a PSR when all is said and done.

Is there anything I am missing?

Thanks in advance.

Your motion specialist at the AB distributor will get you everything needed. Power supply to axis will require busbar connectors. Some axis drives will require a special plug to convert encoder singals.
This power supply will also require eithernet connection and setup in the PLC, it's not like the old "dumb" power supplies.
