CX32-2 or CU320-2 PN ?

I have no experience with SIMOTION, but according to the link, the CX32-2 is to be used with SIMOTION D. And the CX32-2 is an extension to a D4x5-2 controller to expand the number of drives that can be controlled.

CU320-2 PN is used with G120 or S120 drives, it cannot be used with SIMOTION D.

So quite different control units actually.

It is not an either/or choice, if you have to extended the number of axes on the D4x5 then you have to use the CX32

If you are considering Simotion, you could use the motion blocks in the S7-1500 plc connected to CU320's via Profinet IRT
