Hello Fellow Rockwell Users:
I'm new to the industry but I've done some development using the MSCOMM activeX control in VB6.
I'd like to use this control in Factory Talk View SE ("FTVSE") to move data to tags on an event from the serial port.
As I read the FTVSE documentation it states: "FactoryTalk View supports the use of windowed ActiveX controls only. You cannot use
windowless ActiveX controls in an FactoryTalk View graphic display"
Does this mean I cannot use MSCOMM in FTVSE?
Any suggestions on how to get data from a serial port to our FTVSE app would be appreciated. Thanks!
