I am having some communications trouble with the Allen Bradley 9300-ENA.

Here is a rundown of our system:

On a piece of equipment, we have a PLC, an HMI, and a Camera. All three of these are on a 192.168.1.x network and connected through an Allen Bradley Stratix-6000. This small network is to allow the manufacturer to remote into that piece of equipment only.

PLC: CompactLogix 5343 1768-L43
Ethernet Card: 1768-ENBT/A

The rest of our plant PLCs are on a 10.0.228.x network. We would like this plc to be on our network without changing the IP addresses of the 192.168.1.x components.

Decided to use an Allen Bradley 9300-ENA. I've attached an image of the configurations.

RSLinx is able to see the 1768-ENBT/A Ethernet card, but that's it. You cannot expand down to see the controller.

Can anyone help me with what I am missing?

I am not an Ethernet expert, in fact know very little about it.

But one thing that sticks out about your posted image is the

NAT Router (ENA-9300) Private IP Address. Looks like it's missing an octal

192.168.101

Did you try using the ping command to access these devices? Also, what type of driver are you using in RSLinx?

If you are using the Ethernet IP driver in Linx, you may need to try the Ethernet devices driver instead.

You will have to use the Ethernet Driver. I have always have had to use that driver to connect to any device using the NAT 9300-ENA

Post your NAT table. Something's probably off there.

Assuming all's good.
Put your laptop on 10.0.228.20, 255.255.254.0
And connect it directly to the public port on the 9300. Ping the NAT at 10.0.288.18 to confirm connections, then check if you can ping the PLC IP.

Also make sure the default gateway of devices on the private side (192.168) is set to the private IP address of the 9300-ENA. This is only necessary for devices in the NAT table - -those which will have public-side access.

I am using the Ethernet driver.

The NAT table is configured with the 10.0.228.18 pointing to the PLC IP address of 192.168.1.1

The Gateway of the PLC and the HMI is set to the IP Address of the ENA (192.168.1.101)

Our plant is currently in production during the week. I will not have an opportunity to connect everything back up and test if I can ping until this weekend. I will post once I'm able to. I'll also get a picture of the NAT screen.

Also, by default both the STRATIX-6000 and the 9300-ENA are addressed as 192.168.1.1. Is it possible that there is an IP conflict and one of these needs changed?

Also, under the DHCP tab of the STRATIX-6000 each port can be configured to the address of the device connected to it. Do I need to configure the port with the address of the 9300-ENA?

Attempted to ping as suggested. I have posted the image. Also, using the Ethernet Driver with RSLinx Classis, 10.0.228.18 comes up with a red X and yellow question mark. I've attached the ENA configuration, the ENA NAT table, and the Controller port configuration.
