DDE To Excel 365

This used to be an easy task in the past to get data into Excel, now I have 365, Excel just hangs when I paste the link.

I've seen some guides to activate DDE etc in Excel but no cigar.

Anyone found a trick or is DDE into Excel now dead?

RSLinx I'm using is v4.3

I have been using the DDE trick for sometime on Office 365. I have RSLinx 4.2 though. Office 365 Version 18.2205.1091.01
